Nicole Whitesell has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. First ignited in middle school, "I would play library with the neighbor kids. Through me they could check out books, and then I would charge them late fees. It was about 10 cents when they returned them late! I also loved playing store. We would set my bedroom up as a store and use monopoly money and would play for hours."

Later, in the same vein as Miss Kim Kardashian (minus the wealthy father as a benefactor!), Nicole would search out fashion forward items for her on-line store before they hit mainstream. By this time, Nicole and her husband spent more evenings shipping product instead of on romantic dates and a family member suggested they starting a clothing store.

Shop Adorn, the Best Portland Boutique, was born out of a passion and love for style and fashion. Borrowing from their customer satisfaction policy, Nicole states, "I refuse to buy anything unless I love it. I can't sell something I don't love. Working retail in the past, I loved my customers and I loved dressing people. Now I get to do that daily and be part of a community." Nicole wants people to really love what they are buying, and has also served as a complimentary stylist, bringing a fresh eye to her customers' current wardrobe. This personalized service is the core of Nicole's business.
